Plays a passage slower or faster without changing its pitch, so you can
hear what is in it and then work back up to speed.
A and B are the drag handles on the waveform; their flags sit in the top
strip, and a drag starting there always takes the nearer one. Playback is bounded by
A–B whether or not Loop is on — Loop decides whether it comes back to
A, not whether B means anything. Tap elsewhere on the waveform to jump.
Speed is convincing between 0.5× and 2×, which is as far as any
browser's stretcher goes. The stops beyond that are there for picking a passage apart, and
will sound rough. − and + step; tap the number for the list.
In is mic boost while recording, and it is written into the file.
Out is how loud this clip plays, here and now: it only turns down, it is
never written into anything you save or download, and on a device whose own buttons own the
volume it stands aside and says so.

If something misbehaves
Playback that will not stop, a clip that suddenly refuses to play: tap
Read state and the app reports what it thinks is going on. Copy that
into the bug report — it says far more than the symptom does.
